Why Akron?

On December 23, 2014 Chad Cooke suddenly passed away. Chad's soon to be fiancé is the Founder and CEO of Charleston Hope, Emily Hoisington, and their dream was to take Adopt a Classroom nationwide.

After Chad passed, Charleston Hope wanted to make Chad's dream a reality and extend Adopt a Classroom to other cities across the country. Jen Vliet, who is also Chad's cousin expressed interest in bringing it to Akron and it was chosen! Therefore, this Christmas we will be partnering with Helen Arnold Community Learning Center and will be providing Christmas presents to their entire school!
